Green bending technology becomes mainstream, servo electric solutions save over 40% energy

In May 2026, driven by carbon neutrality goals, servo-electric press brakes are rapidly replacing traditional hydraulic models due to energy efficiency, low noise, and zero hydraulic oil pollution, reaching 35% market penetration. Traditional hydraulic press brakes have high standby energy consumption, leakage risks, and high maintenance costs, with over 50% reactive power loss.

Servo-electric models use permanent magnet synchronous servo motors with 95% energy conversion efficiency, saving 40%-50% energy vs. hydraulic units; noise ≤65dB, no oil leaks, meeting green manufacturing standards. Penetration in home appliances and kitchen & bathroom sheet metal has reached 42%. An Hefei-based AC sheet metal maker saved 28,000 kWh annually, cut maintenance costs by 40%, and reduced plating defects to 0.2%. The servo-electric market share is expected to exceed 55% by 2028.
